India comments on thin model debate

India does not want waif-like young women sashaying down the catwalk and acting as role models for thousands of girls who are starving themselves to get svelte figures, the Indian health minister said.
The minister's statement comes after the unprecedented decision taken by fashion organizers in Madrid this month to ban underweight models from walking the ramp, saying they wanted to project an image of beauty and health, not a waif-like look.
The Times of India newspaper quoted Anbumani Ramadoss on Tuesday as saying that many girls in India's cities and small towns were suffering from osteoporosis due to strict dieting.

Schumy retiring from F1

I am not a fan of Michael but the news that he is retiring after this season was sad enough for me. We will miss his sheer determination and skills (especially in wet races). Schumy has given a lot to this sport. I hope that he wins this year's championship (because it is already out of McLaren's reach) for a record eighth time. I am sure that no one can break this record. I wish Schumacher best luck for the remaining 3 races.

Alonso brands Schu ‘unsporting’

Fernando Alonso has branded title rival Michael Schumacher “the most unsportsmanlike driver in the history of Formula 1”.
In the wake of an emotionally charged and politically toxic weekend at Monza, which culminated in Schumacher announcing his retirement, Alonso launched a scathing attack on the seven-time champion on Spain’s Radio Marca.
