Random shot...

This photo was taken near Kolhapur on NH-4. I had to take couple of shots since I wanted the blinkers flashing in the photo.

Tea Plantation in Kerala

I am very passionate about photography. I like to carry my camera most of the times. Some of the life's moments are too precious and I like to capture them in my frame.

Visited Kerala (God's own country) sometime in 2007. I think it is one of the best place to take nature's photography. See this photo (click image to view full screen).

Microsoft Project 2007: Task Constraints

Task constraints are conditions you place on the start or finish date of a task. There are eight constraint types available. Let's take a look at these.

As Late As Possible (ALAP)
This flexible constraint schedules the task as late as possible with the task ending before the project finish and without delaying subsequent tasks. This is the default constraint for tasks when scheduling from the project finish date. Do not enter a task or finish date with this constraint.

As Soon As Possible (ASAP)
This flexible constraint schedules the task to begin as early as possible. This is the default constraint for tasks when scheduling from the project start date. Do not enter a start or finish date with this constraint.

Finish No Earlier Than (FNET)
Schedules the task to finish on or after a specified date. Use this constraint to ensure that a task does not finish before a certain date.

Finish No Later Than (FNLT)
Schedules the task to finish on or before a specified date. Use this constraint to ensure that a task does not finish after a certain date.

Must Finish On (MFO)
This inflexible constraint schedules the task to finish on a specified date. Sets the early, scheduled, and late finish dates to the date you type and anchors the task in the schedule.

Must Start On (MSO)
This inflexible constraint schedules the task to start on a specified date. Sets the early, scheduled, and late start dates to the date you type and anchors the task in the schedule.

Start No Earlier Than (SNET)
Schedules the task to start on or after a specified date. Use this constraint to ensure that a task does not start before a specified date.

Start No Later Than (SNLT)
Schedules the task to start on or before a specified date.

Because the project management best practice is to schedule a project from the start date, the assumption is made that all the tasks use As Soon As Possible constraint.

Formula 1 Pit Lane

Formula 1 Pit Lane is the one of the top 5 most dangerous places in the world.

It was proved in yesterday's Hungarian GP. Two major incidences happened during the race. Both happened when the safety car was deployed and all the drivers head down the pit lane for tyre change. There was melle in the pit lane.

Incidence 1: Mercedes's Roseberg right rear wheel came off the car as he exited the pit stop. Due to the tremendous speed of the F1 car, the wheel reeled into Williams and other pit crews. Everyone tried to avoid the rotating and jumping wheel. However it was too late for BMW Sauber pit crew and it hit one the members. He narrowly escaped serious injury.

Incidence 2: When all of the above was happening. Renault's pit crew let Kubica go when the Force India's Sutil was approaching for pit stop. He banged his car into Kubica's, thus ending race pre-maturely.
