Tips for preparing 70-632
Just thought of sharing my experience on preparing for exam 70-632.
I studied following books,
1. Step by step guide for MS project 2007
2. 70-632 Training kit book
3. Some practice exams
I would highly recommend Training Kit as it covers almost all topics considered for this exam.
Step by step book is also good for some topics. Especially chapters 18 and 19. I liked the explanation used in this book. This book is for beginners.
Other important things to consider while preparing.
1. Your MS project 2007 experience makes a lot of difference. This helped me big time.
2. Whenver you are going through the study material, always keep MS project running and try different things immediately. This will ensure that you have mastered the concepts.
3. Take practice exams in the end. Don't just start reading sample questions in the beginning. Also try to answer the questions and then check the actual answer. This will give you good confidence.
4. Make sure that you visit all menu items and their screens multiple time in MS project 2007. You will get some tricky questions on these.
5. Make sure you understand Task Type: Fix unit/work/duration. Expect many question on this.
6. Understand cost and budget resources
7. Make sure that you take a look at different views and table types. There are many questions on this.
About the exam,
1. Read the question carefully and all the options even more carefully
2. You can eliminate 2 wrong options straighaway
3. Choose carefully between remaining two
4. Exam is of 2 hrs with 46 questions. Time is more than sufficient
5. Mark the questions where you are not sure and review them in the end
6. Attempt all questions
Many people have suggestion using MS Project 2007 Help. However I did not find it useful.
